Student and Teacher Accounts

What if a teacher currently has a student account?

An email address can only be associated with either a student account or a teacher account, but not both. Note: It is not possible to convert a student account into a teacher account. Please follow the steps listed below:

If the teacher would like to keep their student account but also have a teacher account, they can update the email of their student account to a separate email (including a personal email). Then, they can create a new teacher account using their work email.

If a teacher would like their student account deleted, please reach out to us at support@deltamath.com to request deletion. Once the student account has been deleted, they can create a new teacher account using their email.

What if my student(s) already have a DeltaMath account?

Student accounts created with the ClassLink integration are different from regular DeltaMath student accounts, even if the email is the same. If you are utilizing the ClassLink integration, students MUST launch from ClassLink to access their assignments.

Is there a student orientation video?

Yes! Students have access to our Intro to DeltaMath Video, which introduces them to DeltaMath's interface and scoring system. Upon logging in to their DeltaMath accounts, students will see a link to the video prominently displayed on the left sidebar of their account.

PLUS|INTEGRAL If desired, you can assign the intro video to your students using the YouTube ID “7DMMi2Ssg6M.” Learn more about assigning YouTube videos here

How do I declare my school?

All teachers are required to "Declare Your School" annually so that we can maintain an accurate record of schools and districts using our product. If you have not declared your school, you may notice the DeltaMath homepage appearing grayed out, and you may experience difficulty accessing the content. However, once you declare your school, the site will function as usual.

To declare your school, follow these steps:

  • At the top of the DeltaMath home page, click “Declare School Now.”
  • Select your state.
  • Search for your school's name.
    • If your school is listed, select it, and the school's name and address will appear automatically.
    • If your school is not listed, choose "School Not Found?" from the dropdown menu. Then, enter your school's name and address.
    • If you are a tutor or homeschooler, select “Not School Based," choose the appropriate option, and enter your address.
  • Finally, select “Declare my school.”

Basic Troubleshooting

Why am I unable to launch from ClassLink into DeltaMath?

ClassLink integration is only supported with a site-wide INTEGRAL license.

To successfully launch DeltaMath from ClassLink, your school must be shared with us in ClassLink, and you must be categorized as a "teacher" in ClassLink.

Admins and other positions in ClassLink are not supported for launching DeltaMath via ClassLink. In these instances, you will need to log in directly at deltamath.com and will not be able to use the ClassLink integration.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at support@deltamath.com.

Why is my student unable to log into DeltaMath from ClassLink?

If your student sees the following error when trying to log into DeltaMath from ClassLink:

"{"error":"Your account is not on the roster for this course. If you were recently added to this course, your teacher can manually perform a roster sync from their DeltaMath account."}"

It means that their teacher has not launched DeltaMath from ClassLink yet. The teacher must do this first for the launch to work for students.

If the teacher is using DeltaMath classes or Google Classroom, the student needs to log in via deltamath.com/students. If the teacher is using Canvas or Schoology, the student needs to access the assignment from that platform instead.

Why is my student not showing up in my rosters?

If a student has been added to your ClassLink roster within the last 24 hours, you may need to perform a manual sync to update the roster. To do this, you must reach out to your site license admin.

For site admins, log into your DeltaMath admin account. Go to the school and select the teacher's name. Click the icon next to the teacher's name to force a manual sync.

Why are there multiple classes with the same name?

If you see multiple classes created within your DeltaMath account with a similar name, this may be due to the classes your ClassLink administrator has chosen to share. Click here for more information.

Why did all my classes disappear?

DeltaMath classes created with the ClassLink integration will auto-archive on a date set by your ClassLink administrator. If you log into your account and find that your classes are no longer present, please reach out to your ClassLink administrator to see if they recently closed terms.

You can determine that a class was auto-archived by viewing past terms. Auto-archived classes have a naming convention of "Term Closed on MM/DD/YY." For more information on how to view past terms, click here.

What if I am not using the ClassLink integration?

When using our ClassLink integration, district permitting, you are able to create regular DeltaMath classes or use another integration. You can learn more about opting out of the ClassLink created classes here. If you would like to learn how to use DeltaMath with a different integration, click here.
